Web Searches – It is always useful to Google the school. When searching the web, the source of information you find defines its credibility please do remember this.
What do you Google? Well here are a few suggestions:
“Name of School”
“Name of School” + abuse
“Name of School” + child abuse
“Name of School” + Operation Ore
“Name of School” + indecent images
Check Wikipedia for entries and links and check the “discussion” page for exchanges.
For example if you put the name Ampleforth, a public school in Yorkshire, into Google you will see multiple links to the schools website and other news.
If you put Ampleforth + Abuse you see a series of reports about members of staff being convicted of sexual abuse.
Eton + indecent images produces results as does Millfield + Operation Ore. Now cross reference the dates of these incidents with the reports produced the ISI and Ofsted for any indication that they have accounted for these welfare events at the school.
Is anything mentioned? If not, you are now beginning to understand the value of these reports as far as welfare is concerned.. |
